Kurama - e seful securitatii, si singurul care se simtea in siguranta pe langa Lucy, care avea planuri mult mai sumbre pentru el decat sa-l decapiteze pe loc. El o iubeste cel mai mult pe Nana, pe care o considera propriul sau copil. Si el are o poveste trista, in urma caruia a ajuns la acel institut. Kurama incearca sa intervina inainte ca Lucy sa decimeze orasul, dar nu stie ca ea s-a schimbat intre timp, si ca e pasnica, atat timp cat e lasata in pace, sa stea cu Kouta.
